Hi, everyone! We just moved here from CA and have found a house off base. I was able to get the kids enrolled in Peds on base, but they were too full to accept me :-(...does anyone have a positive (or negative) recommendation for a doctor off base? I'd prefer a female, but will compromise for prompt, competent service since I have 2 very little kiddos at home and between feedings and naps, time is limited. Any suggestions would be so helpful! Thanks in advance and I look forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Beth! Welcome to Moody.
I've been here since October and have had one good experience and one bad experience. Good: Antoinette Patterson, M.D. She's off Oak Street, in the 5 Points area, about 15 to 20 minutes from base. She's listed in the Tricare booklet for PCM's. Bad: Valdosta Women's Healthcare, adjacent to North Smithview Hospital.
You can email me at sverenbec@yahoo.com if you'd like details on either. Good luck!

Welcome to Moody. I take my children to Dr Alan Alvardo on North Valdosta RD. He is great I take both my children to him and they love him. He is in the tricare book.
